What is homeopathy? Homeopathy is a system of medicine that is both holistic and scientifically based. It is safe to use, inexpensive, and it can cure both acute and chronic diseases. Homeopathy brings the individual to a grater level of health and promotes resistance to disease. The word homeopathy comes from the Greek "homoios" that means "similar" and "pathos" that means "illness" or "suffering". Homeopathy is based on the principle that "Likes cures like" which is the theory that a substance that can cause certain symptoms in a healthy person can cure the same symptoms in a person who is sick. German physician Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1834) developed this principle into a system of medicine called Homeopathy, and it has been used successfully for more then 200 years all over the world. |
