How do homeopathic medicines work?

Homeopathic medicines work by activating the body's own powers of self-regulation and self-healing. This encompasses physical, mental and emotional levels.

Homeopathic remedies may be prepared from plants, animals, minerals or even from chemical drugs. These substances are diluted carefully until little of the original remains. They are safe, gentle and do not produce side-effects. These medicines are made by homeopathic pharmacies in accordance with the processes described in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States, the original manufacturing manual recognized by the FDA.

In Classical Homeopathy a single homeopathic remedy is chosen to cover all the symptoms of the patient rather then one remedy for each ailment. However a medicine labeled as "homeopathic" will work only if it is homeopathic to the symptoms presented on the patient.
